Twas the Night Before NRF…

Twas the Night Before NRF…
January 16, 2016 Revionics

Twas the night before NRF, when all through the Center

Not a creature was stirring, not one single vendor

The booths were all placed on the showfloor with care

In hopes that the retailers soon would be there…

The sales teams were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of commissions danced in their heads

The Sales Veep in her power suit and I in my cap

Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap,

When out on 11th Ave there arose such a clatter

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon as it shone of the street-trodden snow,

And the streetlamps lit up the objects below.

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,

But a sponsored happy hour with eight types of beer!

With a little old bartender so lively and spry,

I knew in a moment he must want to buy

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called retailers by name;

“Now, Macys! now, Sally! now Best Buy and Dixon!

On, Nordstrom! on, Staples! on, Bebe and Nixon!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now buy away! buy away! buy away all!”
